Being punched to death would certainly be a more unique way to die than being eviscerated. So i vote no for claws, yes for fists. Also, if the master could use tools and weapons with his hands then that would make him even more frightening: He could hold an artillery shell in his hand, fire the shell using his electricity, and then toss the shell casing aside and pick up another.
